I finished building a site using the latest RapidWeaver and it displays perfectly in Safari, but only Safari. It won't even display correctly in Firefox. I've looked through the code and can't see any problems.
Any suggestions?

Ahh, yeah, that sucks. Hopefully the JB comes sooner than later. I've almost been considering an iPad, but I'm just not sure I'd make enough use of it to warrant the price.
Edit: Killer! Thanks lavirshevo! They look great! They look even better in my multitasking bar! :)
Thanks to Hackint0sh814 as well! Loving the new rotation lock switch on my iPhone.

I thought about doing that, but using libraries would require me to upload all pages affected every time I update the library functions, correct? If that's the case I was hoping for something less time intensive, due to there being many pages. Thanks for the suggestion though.
Not sure if I am going too far. If your web server supports php, as most do, try including this.
<?php require_once('menu.html'); ?>
where menu.html is the file which your menu is located.
If you are unfamiliar with php or programming, start off with a blank page to test it out. Then proceed to put that code in different parts of the page to see how it comes out.

Hi,
I have an ftp upload problem. Ive had it ever since I bought my first mac, a powerbook, a year ago. I first trying using several free ftp programs (+ Transmit), but everytime i would upload a file to a folder it would just freeze immediately. so i went and bought Cute FTP Mac cause the demo rid this problem, but not entirely. It freezes immediately, but when I close connection and connect again, everything works. So now i have gotten into the habit of 'uploading, it freezing, me closing and re-opening the connection', and then it working. This is a really long and annoying way to go about things. Anybody have a clue as to what is going on?

y dont they feed it live??
Most likely to help promote being in the keynote attendance. Or it's out of MacWorld's budget. Or Apple said no, because they want exclusive rights to the video and want to put it online on their own terms. Sounds to me like the ladder.

I agree that SL isn't the best of Apple's OS's. Hopefully it is Apple's Vista and Lion will be Apple's 7.

That's one thing I really hate about apple. Once a new revision comes out, if you have a problem with the previous generation product you may as well forget about it ever getting fixed.
There are an awful lot of examples that would say otherwise.
For a start I would mention the hard drive replacement program for the white MacBooks which are 3/4 years old. Then there was the update to fix the audio issue with the 2009 Mac Pro's.
Would you care to give examples of these problems which have been ignored?

Hey all,
I've got a friend I am going to meet ti help JB his phone. He currently has 4.3 installed so before the JB I need/want to get his phone current. My question is, is there a way to manually update the phone by having 4.3.2 downloaded before we meet? Tried to do it last night through iTunes at a Statbucks and the download was going to take over an hour on there network and neither of us wanted to wait that long.
Thanks
David

its a 3GS.. damn that sucks, ok. the only reason is because my cousin just updated to 4.2 firmware and he said he cant jailbreak his phone at all. he's tried greenpoison, limerain, he said nothing seems to work so if i update im worried i wont be able to jailbreak my phone anymore
I don't understand... 4.3.2 and different versions lower can be JB'ed. Are you trying to unlock as well? Then you may have issues based on the baseband.

The Library of Congress already rule jb is legal. Try again.
Whatever 'muscle' is? All you need to sue someone is money and both Apple and Sony have more than enough.
I've never seen somebody more clueless.
If Geohot loses, Apple could try another pass at it. Even the lowest court could throw out the Library of Congress's opinion.
Clearly somebody wasn't paying attention in middle school history when they went over constitutional powers.
I just donated $100. Geohot is a drama queen but this has absolutely nothing to do with him as a person but the importance of what he did.

I lined up for the iPhone 3G last year! And I lined up with my girlfriend for the Palm Pre last weekend (http://www.crazyhawt.com/2009/06/06/palm-pre-waiting-in-line-first-impressions/). This year, i'm doing this by mail :). My 3GS should arrive on the 19th.
You actually lined up for the Palm Pre? I feel sorry for you.

I smashed my 3GS few days, got the white on a 12 month contract, so longer it takes for the 5 to come out the better.
I wanted a 3G phone with wifi tethering, i4 still a top phone, get it.

I tried searching for this with no luck so I'm sorry if this has been asked and answered in the past.
I finally updated my Macbook Pro to 10.6.7 yesterday and haven't had any issues except for when I close the lid to put the computer to sleep rather than going to sleep after 1-2 seconds, it takes about 30 seconds. I'm not running any different programs than I was with 10.6.6.
Any solutions?

Yes, yes, I know that all technology is obsolete the second you take it out of the box, wahwahwah. Heh. Sorry.
Anyway, I've been using this early 2006 C2D MBP for 5 years now and it's been a great machine. It was my first mac and, other than battery problems, it was a fantastic experience that has driven me to purchase apple again.
These new iMacs look fantastic and I'm pretty sure I want to get a 27inch model. My question is regarding how best to ensure I get 5-6 years of great performance out of the computer, hardware-wise.
Money isn't really an issue, but obviously I don't want to spend more than I have to.
1) Is the i7 worth it over the i5? I game, use photoshop, handbrake and the occasional final cut/video editing project. I've been seeing hellhammer give "evidence" that the i7 actually can perform worse for gaming (of course, not by much). Will this be true in 3 years (yeah, I know no one can predict the future, just asking for best educated guesses from the experts)? For instance, will we likely be seeing more games make use of hyperthreading?
2) 1gb vs 2gb vram. I've noticed a lot of people talking about the fact that the 6790m isn't powerful enough to actually ever need 2gb of vram. Is this something that is true right now but could change over time? I don't know the tech details of why 2gb can't really be used, so I don't know if this is something that is the result of the way current software uses the gpu or if 2gb will never, ever be useful on the 6790m.
Hmm, I think those are my two biggest questions. Sorry for the wall-o-text. Just looking for advice on how to get the most longevity out of the system without being uninformed and just buying the top of the line across the board.
Thanks!

Agreed! These apps are ineffective in removing all files/folders related to a deleted app. The only effective method for complete app removal is manual deletion:
Best way to FULLY DELETE a program (http://forums.macrumors.com/showpost.php?p=11171082&postcount=16)
Learn something every day. And here I thought the finder sucked. I've been using PathFinder because I could never find the system files. Thanks for the tip!
