I thought the Play and Charge Kit doubles as a USB cable for the controller...
no. it allows you to play whilst your charging. it does not convert your controller into a wired controller - all the usb is doing is sending power.

Still worth it to head to the Gateway over anywhere else, yeah? You gotta assume the Apple Store will have thousands of these things, I hope?

Disappointed to say the least.
Parallels is good no doubt about that. However, I figured that Microsoft could have done better now that we are on the Intel platform. Bummer.

I tested this with another free app (Overstock)
1. Synced my wife's iPhone 4 which has Overstock 1.8 with her iTunes account
2. Copied app to shared user folder
3. Logged in as her on my iPhone >settings>store
4. Installed newer version of app over wifi on my phone (Overstock 1.8.1)
5. Synced my phone with my iTunes account - Overstock app shows up in iTunes
6. Disconnect iPhone from computer and delete app from phone
7. Delete Overstock 1.8.1 from iTunes app window
8. Drag Overstock 1.8 .ipa to iTunes app window and drop in
9. Re-sync phone to iTunes and Overstock 1.8 installs onto phone
10. Disconnect phone and app is installed and runs fine
Side benefit is app requires wife's password to update so for the Optimum app it will be impossible to update it and break the VPN again.

I read both the files, i understand. But how can i see how my pictures where imported? I already had folders with pictures that i just dragged into the library. I cant recal seeing anything like referenced or managed masters?
thanks :)
(edit) in the import settings it is set as ''Store files: in the aperture library''
That's explained in the first link.
Select Manage referenced files from Apertures file menu
In Aperture 3 I think that they may have changed it to "Located Referenced Files...". Still under the File menu though.
thanks :)

I'm looking to get myself an iPhone. I'd be open to one without phone functionality. I really just want to use it as an iPod with a camera, mic and speakers. A phone would be a nice bonus though.
I will not pay extra to have it unlocked and it must be in decent condition.
You must ship to Canada and accept PayPal. I have a few references on here and good feedback on eBay.
Thanks. :)
PM me I'll give you mine for $320.

Just out of curiosity, what do you want a new Cinema Display for, exactly, that the current ones aren't doing?
Reason I ask is because you seem pretty eager about it, but haven't really clarified your need.

Try resetting the setting for InDesign (this will work for any CS2 or newer product)
1.quit the application.
2.Hold down the Command-Option-Shift-Ctrl keys (Control-Alt-Shift on a PC)
3.Run the application with the keys still held down (this may mean selecting the open option when you click on the icon in the dock)
4.Select "yes" when asked to Delete InDesign Preference files
5.Let application load
Not sure if it will solve you problem, but this is usually the first step i take when trouble shooting ADobe performance issues.

I would be willing to bet big money that MS Office Universal Binary is ready to go right this minute.
There is no way Monkey Boy Balmer is going to let the Mac Business Unit release it before Vista and the New Windows' version of Office!
Can you imagine the press release - "Well we are pushing back the release dates of Windows Vista and Office. We want to make sure that it is absolutely perfect. However, we are releasing Microsoft Office Universal Binary for the Apple OS X operating system". It just ain't gonna happen

The games cost the companies millions to develop on each platform, and it is their intellectual property in the first place. Adding DRM to someone else's music takes a push of a button.
Which costs tens millions to operate and to license. Keep in mind that it's not any given music service which elects to use DRM, it's the recording companies that insist upon it. The reason why Fairplay is relatively lenient compared to other schemes is that it is locked down to a narrow set of compatible devices. You can copy your music to any number of iPods, for example--which goes far beyond "fair use" under the law. Win some, lose some.
I don't get your logic there at all. As I've just said, DRMd media isn't the same as software. If I didn't want a dominant Sony Walkman 20 years ago, I bought a Panasonic and my tapes still played. If I decided my Philips DVD Player was rubbish, I could buy a JVC and the DVDs still played.
You bought into an available open standard. There were competing proprietary ones as well--just none as popular as CD or DVD. There is still an available open standard (albeit often at a higher price per track). The availability of more limited music doesn't limit you one bit. You chose the limited version over the unencumbered one because it was faster, easier, and/or more customizable.
As far as I'm concerned, anything I OWN, I should have fair use rights over, even if I wish to change the make of my player. Steve Jobs makes a big deal about us OWNING our music when we buy from iTunes. If I truly own it, I should have the right to use it how I wish. Which is it?
You do own the DRMed music file. You can use it without continued payment and without time limits. Ownership of the intellectual property of others has always been nuanced. There's ownership of content (lyrics, performance, etc. can all have different owners), of distribution (including licensing for public performance), of a license to the media (on a CD belonging to you or in a digital file under your control), and of course various forms of renting and leasing. When you buy music from iTunes (or any other pay-once service), you have indefinite (timewise) usage rights and control of that license. You do not, nor can Apple legally grant you, total control over the file.
If DRM is necessary, it should be interoperable between different manufacturers. The aim of it should be to prevent illegal copying, not allow vendor lock in.
There's nothing wrong with vendor lock-in so long as an easily attainable, universal solution also exists. Since you are not obligated to buy anything from iTMS if you own an iPod, there is no justifiable harm. What I would like to see is a service permitting you to assemble custom CDs from individual tracks (instead of being forced to buy entire albums) and lower prices from iTunes. Both of these require the recording industry to embrace the Internet, rather than fight it.

Yes because its maximum resolution is 2500x1600 and DVI already satisfies that, it doesn't really matter at this point. It doesn't transmit audio like HDMI. Honestly the only benefit to it, is the increased distance it can run (15m).
Maybe you don't know so much about color management.
Ever heard about 8-bit bottleneck?
DVI could use 16-bit colordepth (lsb on second link), but nobody uses that and there's not enough bandwidth with 2500x1600 resolution.
Displayport (or hdmi1.3) solves that problem without having expensive hardware LUTs in monitors (that ACDs currently does not have).

It's always funny to see stuff like this. The same person says:
"I think it will be out soon"
"I don't think it will be out soon"
"There's no way to know when it'll be out"
So how do you say you think it will, won't, and don't know? I'd recommend that if you don't have an affirmative or a negative answer, don't speculate. It's very confusing for those new to jailbreaking to see people who have zero ties to the developers whatsoever chiming in saying they think there will be a short term or distant term release. If you don't have FIRST HAND knowledge, don't speculate without providing evidence of how you came to make such statement.

Thanks. I was hoping to start leaving my laptop at home. A lot of hotels, even good hotels, don't have wi-fi in the rooms, but they do have a wired internet point of presence in every room. If I can't use an iPad under those circumstances, there's just no reason for me to get one.
I don't know if there is a way to directly get wired ethernet connection on to your iPad. I think probably not. But, one pricey solution is this:
Buy an Apple AirPort Express, a very small wifi router about the size of your palm. It will plug into the wired ethernet and broadcast wifi signal.
