Would you be willing to ship one to australia and if so for how much?
Yes - I'd be willing to ship to Australia. If you don't have a paypal verified address, then we'd have to do the deal with a money order or check. However, if you do have one, we can do paypal. I'm not trying to "make money" on shipping so I believe $40 should cover USPS international priority w/ insurance / tracking. It may only be $30... If you are interested, PM me and we can work out details.
er... maybe that's "international express" that is 40 bucks - i don't know. As long as you have a paypal verified address, i'm even fine with accepting money not including shipping. Then after I ship it, i'll scan the receipts and email them to you as proof and you can paypal me that amount.

I think that within a year or two even consumers will be demanding more picture quality. Even cheaper displays are beginning to have more contrast and wider gamut than crt's used to have. With new displays consumers start to see PQ problems with older content. This leads to demand for higher PQ content. Here in Finland, sd-dtv was generally considered high quality with older crt's, but when hd-lcd's got more common, people started complaining about artifacts.
And maybe even smaller movie companies start realizing that they need color management...
Well Said!! Agree totally --- thanks for the thoughts.

I called them twice today, they said they aren't getting any and already got their shipment for the day.
So that means people are standing in line for nothing?
I meant it's worth it when you finally get one. I spent 5 hours in line on Friday to pick mine up!

AirDrop appeared in Finder with the original Dev Preview. When I upgraded to Developer Preview 2, AirDrop was gone. I figured it was some sort of bug, and when I did the Dev Preview 2 Update that was released today, I figured it would return - but I was wrong!
Any idea on how to bring AirDrop back into the Favorites area of the Finder sidebar?? It's not even an option in the Finder Preferences Sidebar section!

I am more of a design guy at heart but have been helping my company do some web over-hauling of our sites. We have been using simply Photoshop-made buttons for our links.
Question: Can someone check out this site (http://komotion.com/examples/elements/buttons-and-links/). I am wondering if the buttons on the top leading off the page are made strictly using CSS/HTML, or if there is a photoshop template behind it.
From what I can gather on a few other CSS Button tutorials there may be a blank photoshop template behind it and the CSS can stretch it and add the text? Am I way off base?
Thanks for helping me handle my code ignorance :(
EDIT: Forgot about the mouseover glow... Is this done strictly through CSS or do you need an "after" state image?
Those are done with a background image:
http://komotion.com/wp-content/themes/komotion/styles/blue/button_sprite.png
The mouseover effect is using javascript to change the opacity of the image -- it makes it slightly more transparent (80% transparent), which gives the "lightening" effect. Nice little effect!

I haven't been in a few years, but in the past there were deals to be found on the last day of the expo. A lot of vendors didn't want to pack up stuff to bring home and would offer special pricing to those who came around to talk to them at the end of the show.

I just restored my old version from my TimeMachine backup. I just need to get the vpn stuff sorted out now :-)
If you are watching LiveTV over VPN DO NOT INSTALL THE Optimum LiveTV app update. I installed it and it breaks watching LiveTV over VPN. Luckily I had the app backed up and reinstalled the older version back on my iPad.

If you want to purchase a package and then sell the disc on eBay, then I can understand your dishonesty. For the honest among us, the disc and its packaging are not needed in most cases:
What's "dishonest" about selling used software? Sure, buying software and selling it while still using a installed copy might be. But no one has even mentioned that on this thread. You're making an awful lot of assumptions.

CNN posted followup (http://www.cnn.com/2006/TECH/ptech/10/24/ipod.code.ap/index.html) to the previous news that Jon Lech Johansen ("DVD Jon") had reverse engineered Apple's FairPlay Digital Rights Management (DRM) format.
Johansen has formed a company to license the format to other companies interested in providing DRM protected files that are playable on Apple's iPod. Apple has not allowed other companies to license FairPlay, effectively blocking most companies from selling DRM protected songs that can play on the iPod.
The article states that "an unnamed client will soon use the technology so its copy-protected content will be playable on iPods". Details are not available yet.
DVD Jon had previously circumvented FairPlay's DRM (http://www.macrumors.com/pages/2003/11/20031122001549.shtml) in and since then multiple other tools have appeared to provide similar functionality for updated versions of Quicktime/iTunes. Jon is also credited for developing an algorithm named deCSS to strip a DVD of its encryption (called Content Scramble System (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Content_Scramble_System), or CSS), hence his nickname.

At first I thought you said "Pentium M 2.2 GHz," and I was like, "whoa. these people are only offering 100 bucks? It's worth like 700+ with mobo and proc." But then I saw that evil little number 4. Still, Chaintech at least makes good motherboards, and you could probably upgrade the processor on that to a faster one.

Oh, I see. If iTunes is downsampling for the iPad (most powerful iDevice), I highly doubt it will play on an iPod. Keeping a dual-library really is the only way to go.

Let's not go too far. The iPad/iPhone/iOS will NEVER replace the home console, at least as we know it now. The iPhone/iPad are really made for playing simple and fun games. Anyone who wants to play serious games, such as Call of Duty or "real" console games, will always play them on a console. COD might be fun for a few minutes on an iPad, but it doesn't come close to the immersion you get from a console. PvZ is a perfect example of the type of games the iPad does well. But even the iPad version isn't as good as the Mac version. It's missing MANY things the Mac version has. But I've purchased all versions. Maybe that's the way to make money. Have us buy the game on EVERY platform.

Well, then here... let me respond.
As I posted in another thread, the government by its very design distributes wealth. The question isn't whether it will happen... it will and does. The question is what should the government do when the distribution of wealth tilts to much to the wealthy. It destabilizes the country when too much wealth is concentrated into the hands of too few and it's in the nation's best interest to see that kind of imbalance doesn't become too extreme.
Tunisia?

I own a Macbook pro and find it near impossible to install Applications downloaded from websites like HANDANGO and the like.
It is impossible. You need to run Windows on the Mac to install them.

I think they removed it, but according to Andrew Welch (president of Ambrosia Software), "Everything that was free in the older, free WireTap continues to be free in WireTap Pro. You can use it to your heart's content to record AIFF recordings, and never pay for it." If you use other features, an unregistered message is dubbed over your recordings until you register.
Ah. I missed that. Thanks.

The US signed the treaty too.
Clinton signed Bush unsigned.
I think in 2017 wars of aggression will come under the treaty, something that would have seen both Bushes,Blair,Clinton and many others hauled in front of the court.
